Re: HP DL integrated graphics
Hi,
What is the current resolution that is being displayed via KVM?
What is the KVM model?
As per the QuickSpecs of this server, it supports, Video modes up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz (32 bpp).
Thanks

Re: HP DL integrated graphics
Thanks @suman_1978 I am using the HPE LCDE8500 as KVM, the resolution that ubuntu standard goes too. Not sure what it is since I am unable to test it at the moment. It is around 1366x900 something.
When I force the VGA to output the max possible (different opinions online) but when doing 1920x1080 the resolution isn't supported message pops up.

Re: HP DL integrated graphics
Hi,
Just a tip, there are some KVM's where after updating the firmware, the resolution is upgraded or fixed to higher ones.
Example here, hence my suggestion is, check if there are any firmware for your KVM model and update if possible.
Thank You!

Re: HP DL integrated graphics
Hi
I agreed with the above suggestion.
We have seen a similar issue with Microsoft OS where the Screen Of The HPE LCD8500 1U US rackmount console kit may not be aligned in the operating system Login screen on a specific screen resolution and the same has been fixed with KVM firmware upgrade.
Please refer to the below customer advisory for your reference.

Re: HP DL integrated graphics
Sorry for the late reply, but firmware 1.1.7. is already installed on the KVM. So no that is not the solution.
