HP DL380 G6
Good day gents , got a few of these in my home lab now they work great accept 1, and its has to do with the 410i before the firmware upggrade everthing was working perfect sas drive negotiated correctly and my sata ssds
have the latest firmare installed for the controller but now all of the sudden its refusing to negotiate the speeds correctly
my sas drives only do 3gbs instead of 6gbs and sata is doing 1.5gbs instead of 3gbs got firmware 6.64 installed
anyone perhaps have an idea where to look where the problem might be , all of them has 512mb cache modules installed

Re: HP DL380 G6
Hi,
Some times the firmware compatibility between the controller and hard drives cause conflict.
Check if the drives require any firmware upgrade.
Thank You!

Re: HP DL380 G6
Hello,
As my colleague Suman stated, the compatibility of Hard drives & controller firmware matters.
Also , also firmware of the controller is already updated, i would recommend updating the controller driver as well.
You need to check if the Hard drives are installed with the latest/compatible firmware.
If not, please update the HDDs firmware and monitor. I would also request to update the other components like BIOS, iLO if not updated yet..
Make sure you are using HPE hard drives, otherwise such conflicts are certain.
Thanks,
TAM
