HP DL380 G9 with DPM to HPE Command View MSL 2024 Direct fiber connection

Dear forum members!

We have a HP DL380 G9 server which I would like to be directly connected to our tape library.

The server comes with a Qlogic fiber channel adapter for which I couldnt find any parameter to set like loop or direct connect.  The exact model is  ISP2532-based 8Gb Fibre Channel to PCI Express HBA

@The other end there is a HPE Storever MSL 2024 tape library. On both port I configured autosense speed and type. 

I crossed the fiber cables.

HPE library and tape tools doesnt find the device. What am I missing here? I would expect HPE proliant with Qlogic to be compatible with HPE storever.

     Are you connected any Fibre channel switch between the DL server and MSL tape liabrary?

No, as my post indicates even in the title, the server is DIRECTLY connected to the tape library
