HP DL580 G5
Hi All
I have 2 problems with my server HP ProLiant DL580 G5:-
1- The network interface should come “Dual NC371i Multi-function Gigabit Server Adaptors (Embedded)”
But when I tried to take the properties of the network card under windows 2003 Enterprise edition, one of them gives me Giga speed the other gives me 100 Speed
Please Advice
2- I have another server DL580 G5 , I connected eight HDD 300 GB with P400 512 controller
I configured the controller of HDDs as a mirror.
One of the HDD is not blinking green, when I use the HP management tools to identify the HDDs, it was blinking dark blue. I replaced the HDD with another one. Then I checked the HDD after finished rebuilding but still it isn’t blinking green.
Please Advice

Re: HP DL580 G5
Sorry, I want to add something,
I have one smart controller P800 connected to the other HDDs cage. Not boot able
That controller have problem and I opened RMA with HP.
Is it possible to connect P400 controller to the same cage as a temporary?
When I receive my replacement controller p800 from HP, should I re-configure the HDDs?
Thanks

Re: HP DL580 G5
Hi every one
The problem of different network speed was solved, my customer was connected one network interface to Giga speed CISCO SWITCH and the other cable was connected to switch with 100 speeds.

You can NOT use the P400 from the first disk cage to also connect it to the second disk cage.
Theoretically the P400 supports up to 18 disks but the two disk cages inside the DL580 are NOT daisy chained to allow you to do this. You have to wait for the replacement P800.
