HP Management Agents

I have configured Event Notifications using the Event Notification Wizard. Configured all values and selected all events to be notified by email. But when I do something to test the notifications, such as diconnect a fibre cable or remove a disk from the smart array, I see the degraded component in the Management Home page, but mail is never sent.

How can I know why the mail is not sent? Is there a log or a way to send test email notifications?

Thanks in advance.

Re: HP Management Agents

In the application event log I get:

Source: CimNotify
Type: Error
Event ID: 5

The description for Event ID ( 5 ) in Source ( CimNotify ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Storage Agents: Fibre Tape Controller Status Change.

Source: QLManagementAgentJava

RetrieveLunDataForTargets: Unable to get lun data (0x20000070) (Invalid command sub-code)

Re: HP Management Agents

Using Windows network monitor I have found that the mail is sent and the mail server is rejecting the message because of the HELO parameter.

I have to work with the mail server administrator to deal with this problem.
