HP ML350E G8 CPU upgrade

Hello everyone,
I got myself a ML350E with a xeon e5 2420.

I would like to upgrade this to the 2450 or 2470 for the extra cores.
Can I buy any cpu from ebay? Or do I need a kit or something.

I've seen some pictures in which the CPU is in a bracket of some sort. Is this neccesary? Can I reuse the one on my old CPU?

Also if I want to install a second CPU do I need the HPE cooler of would a normal lga1356 cooler work fine.

Sincerely,
Timmy

Hello,

You may refer to section "Core Options > HP Processors" on page 19 of the HPE ProLiant ML350e Gen8 Server's QuickSpecs for a list of supported processors for this model server.
