HP NC340T Cards
Hi
We installed two of the above quad port nics in a HP Proliant DL380.
All seems fine but we are only seeing 7 ports to team together. When we had one card installed we had all 4 ports visible on the card, but after we installed the second only 3 of the ports are visible. We replicated the installation on an ML350...same result. Is this normal or am I missing something
Thanks for any help in advance

Re: HP NC340T Cards
Hi,
As there is no limitation for MAX no of NICs per team, theoritically it should work fine.
As you have tested first NIC in which you are able to see all the four NICs, haved checked the second adapter to confirm that all the 4 NICs are working fine.
If Yes, please update the NIC driver and the teaming software.
Else, you may need to get the second NIC replaced.

Re: HP NC340T Cards
Hello Seamus Rowan,
Not sure if it is not normal, but what I would suggest is when both the cards are installed goto RBSU(BIOS) and check under PCI device if all the 8 ports are listed. Could be there are not free IRQs or Memory Resourses. If all 8 ports are listed in BIOS goto Device Manager and check under the Network controller if all 8 NICs are listed and there is not ! or ? or x. If there is ! or ? or x then remove and rescan for new hardware and check. If all 8 nics are available in Device manager than all 8 should be available for teaming.
