Hp P440 12 GB/s SAS connection

Hi

I have installed new p440 raid card in my ml310e v2

The problem I have raid 5 - 4 x 8 TB SAS Hdd in 12gb/s interface but SSA shows me the connection only 6gb/s

phy 1: 6gbps phy 2: unknown

anny solution ??

Hello,

there are two types of 8TB Disks 6G and 12G.

HP 8TB 12G SAS 7.2K rpm LFF (3.5-inch) SC 512e Helium 1yr Warranty Hard Drive 793703-B21

HP 8TB 6G SATA 7.2K rpm LFF (3.5-inch) SC 512e Helium 1yr Warranty Hard Drive 793695-B21

Which one do you have?

You have a Gen8 server and a Gen9 controller.

Since the supported Gen8 controllers for this server are 6Gb or even 3Gb only, maybe the backplane limits the speed to 6Gb (this could ba a reason, but I'm not 100% sure).
