A easy question , fom my company i have to buy a cluster, for this product (subject) , doing a raid internal to the server and external to disk array (msa500) I need an other smartarray or is sufficient the embedded
adapter (smartarray6i) ?

Buy an PCI RAID card, it's better, faster and more reliable in this case.

Could be a SA6402 or SA6404.

a Smart Array controller is included with the MSA,most probably its 642 adapter.
Perhaps you can connect the OS disks(raid 1) to the 6i controller and storage via the 642 on the MSA.
