Re: HP ProLiant ML330 G3 Server
I was able to create a floppy from the SmartStart CD.
When I went to boot back into the Windows Setup I pressed F6. It gave me 4 devices to pick from:
SmartArray 5300 Controller
SmartArray 5i, 532, 5312 Controllers
SmartArray 6i, 641, 642, 6400, 6400 EM Controllers
CSB-6 Ultra ATA 100 IDE Raid Controller
I just tried it and I selected the Raid Controller. I went on and then gave me the following error and the setup stopped.
"Setup detected multiple disk in your machine that are indistinguishable. Setup has corrected the problem but a reboot is required. Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit."

Re: HP ProLiant ML330 G3 Server
Hi,
there should be 8 drivers to choose from. I just had a look at the txtsetup.oem that the SmartStart CD uses to create the floppy:
B060 = "Smart Array 5300 Controller"
B178 = "Smart Array 5i, 532, 5312 Controllers"
0046 = "Smart Array 6i, 641, 642, 6400, 6400EM Controllers"
MegaIDE100_NT5 = "CSB-6 Ultra ATA-100 IDE RAID Controller", LSICSB6
MegaIDE100_NT51 = "LSI MegaRAID IDE 100 Controller", MegaIDE
MegaIDE100_NT5C = "Integrated Ultra ATA-100 Dual Channel Controller", MegaIDE
MegaIDE100_NT5L = "Integrated Ultra ATA-100 IDE RAID Controller", MegaIDE
SYMMPI = "LSI Logic PCI SCSI/FC MPI Miniport Driver",symmpi
There are no scrollbars in the dialog box in the Windows Text mode setup, but you can scroll using the arrow keys. I think you need the last one in the above list "LSI Logic PCI SCSI...". I don't think the one you selected is correct. If you have your hard disk on the integerated SCSI controller, I don't think the MegaIDE driver will find anything.
Regards,
Stephen
