HP Proliant ML370 G6 fan problem
The ML370 server at one of our customers is acting up lately. It speeds up the fans and then tunes them down again. It's not hot in the neighbourhood of the server, so that shouldn't be the problem.
Also once in a while it gives notice that the system will shut down cause of fan failure.
These are the some notices from the IML:

Re: HP Proliant ML370 G6 fan problem
BUT, a friend of mine had a smae kind of issue. He solved it by updating the iLo 2.0 firmware. I used the 1.82 firmware now, and until now the logs stay clean of the weird fan notes.
Will try to keep you up to date if anyone else might get these problems
