HP ProLiant Remote Monitor Service for Windows Server

I have several servers that have "HP ProLiant Remote Monitor Service for Windows Server" installed on them.  However, in the Version Control Agent, there is no version listed on the HP Support Pack to install - it is completely missing.  Looking at the history of the package, it appears the last version they made was back in 2007 - hence why it is not in the newer Support Packs.

Did HP obsolete this package?  Is it safe to uninstall?  From what I can tell, it allowed remote access to the Integrated Management Logs.  But it looks like new versions of the Log Viewer application do not have a "Connect To Remote Server" option (I think it used to, but it is gone now if it did).  So I am thinking this package has been officially eliminated since the remote viewer functionality is gone.  Just need to know if this is safe to remove.

Thanks

NK

Re: HP ProLiant Remote Monitor Service for Windows Server

Looks like I had some facts wrong.  The lastest version I see is from 2010.  I guess my question is, why is it missing from the HP Service Pack?  I am using version 2012.10.0 (the latest).  I would think it would include the 2010 version in the service pack.
