HP Smart Arrat Controller 6400 - Error Code 1783
I shutdown system properly last night.
Today when i restarted a HP Proliant ML370 G4, it is giving me error 1783 sayint that controller is in locked up state and disabled due to hardware configuration error.
I searched other forum and tried to remove the controller and remove the cable and restored it properly but it did not work out.
Regards,
uday

Re: HP Smart Arrat Controller 6400 - Error Code 1783
Reseat controller, cables and backplane, upgrade firmware..
Are you using RAID 5 or ADG and SA-6400 series? If so, you may have to replace the controller.
Regards.

Re: HP Smart Arrat Controller 6400 - Error Code 1783
Try downloading the latest firmware for this controller before replacing the controller.
Firmware update can be found here:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/storage/us/download/24943.html
If this doesn't work, then call HP support to get the controller replaced.
Hope this answers!!!!!

Re: HP Smart Arrat Controller 6400 - Error Code 1783
You have to download the softpaq called CP006630.scexe under that website.
Please specify what is happening!!!!!!
You are not able to open the link or you are not able to see the file? Any error message?

Re: HP Smart Arrat Controller 6400 - Error Code 1783
Alternatively, if that link is not working then you can download the firmware maintanence CD form here:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/24819.html
You could also find the installation instructions from the website itself..
Hope this works!!!!
