HP Smart Array P431 Post: 1785-Slot 2 Drive Array Not Configured

I inserted an HP Smart Array P431 controller on an HP ProLiant DL360p gen8 server connected to an external MSA2050 storage via sas link, but the controller can not see the logical volumes defined on the storage.
The following error is returned to POST:
"1785-Slot 2 Drive Array Not Configured No Drives Detected"

I have updated the firmware of the controller to the last available update 4.54, but I have not solved the problem.

The volumes have been correctly associated through the storage management interface to the sas ports of the controller.

I do not know what else to do, you can give me support.

Hi,

Please check the compatibility with Gen8 server also with SAS Adapter used, however

error basically indicates unconfigured storage/drives are detected,

If it's configured and connected to the server properly then it should be working:

verify physical connection,  pool,volume and host mapping configuration.

Hi, 

my HPE 2050 SAN Storage is configured in the right way, I have two more proliant DL360 gen10 nodes that connect to storage without problems and see the volumes.

I tried to update the firmware of the controller at the last available version, but I did not solve the problem.

Can anyone tell me if that controller is 100% compatible with HPE 2050 SAN Storage, or if there are any known bugs for which fixes do not yet exist.

Any suggestion or advice is welcome.

No, since we do not see P431 in supoprted adapters list for MSA2050.
