HP Support Pack on ESX 4.1

Hi all,

maybe it's stupid question, however. I am new to ESX (changed from Hyper-V). I already have installed ESX 4.1 and 6 guests. Is there anyway I can use HP Support pack ? Can it be installed on some virtual machine or is there any other way to control Host ?

Hello, as far as I can see there is no whole support pack for ESX.

The ESX management agents will give you SNMP monitoring, a System Management homepage, the hplog utility and the hpasmcli tool.

Just to point out - ESX is End Of Life, and we've been encouraged to upgrade for nearly two years.

If you are just in the process of switching and evaluating new solutions, you should look at ESXi.
Note, the system management homepage and hpasmcli tools do not install on ESXi.
