hpe usb key utility not working i tried

1)Hpe usb key ulitity latest version

2)Rufus

3)Iso to Usb

tried But No Luck

Consider to run the tool "as Administrator"

Consider also to compare the checksum of the ISO file.

Compare the checksum file also

Hello ,

Please follow the steps below 

1. Download the required version of SPP .

2. Make sure USB drive used is greater than 4GB and less than  32GB .

3. Mount the SPP ISO to a PC and navigate to SPP2019030/usb/usbkey and execute the usbkey.exe as Administrator Privileges .Make sure the Usb drive is plugged in and follow the usb wizard .

In case if there is any further issue . Please share a detailed description about the error .

That doesnt work either. It freezes in a not responding state.

The USB key utility in SPP2019030 works as expected.  I just used it to build the SPP on a generic 16GB stick.

It is not working. The process goes into a non responding state and does nothing. Stays there, hours and hours. Resource Monitor shows no activity.

I've tried different USB, ports, computers..... nothing

you are using the tool included within the ISO?
Any restrictions (Group policies) regarding USB in your organisation?

I'm having the same problem as ArunKanth. Using v3.0.0 of the usb tool (which says support for win10 as per here https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_360731071b404454b454390208#tab-history) the software freezes on "Formatting USB Key..."

Tested the exact same as they have, fresh download, multiple computers, run as admin etc etc etc. These are stand alone computers that are not under any sort of GPO.

(Forgot to add, it doesnt seem to be SPP Version related. Tried different ISOs in case there was an weird issue with the tool and the one i was trying to use. All affected.)

I had the same issue. I made it work by mounting the ISO and choose the DVD as source insted of the ISO.

I had the same issue.  I had to open disk management and remove all volumes from the USB stick, format it, then create a simple partition on the USB stick, then FINALLY the USB Key Utility started working.
