HPE DL360 Gen10 - NVMe upgrades
I am running Proliant DL360 Gen10 with p408i-a controller at the moment, and i have a plan to upgrade/migrate storage from SATA2.5inch to U2/U3 NVMe.
Been trying to install 1 U2 NVMe drive, but the system did not recognize the drive.
So the questions are.
1. can i upgrade the server to support U2 NVMe?
2. What HW Parts needs tobe upgraded to support U2 NVMe
Regards

Re: HPE DL360 Gen10 - NVMe upgrades
Thank you for your reply. Actually i've red the link you shared earlier before i finally decides to ask here in the forum.
And pardon me, maybe my qyestion was very unclear. So let me try again.
1. Will MR416i-a be compatible to DL360 Gen10 (without "plus")?
2. If q #1 a "yes", is there any specific parts need to be upgraded also? Like controler cables (port position is different between p408i-a and MR416i-a). And/or backplane?
I really really hope i can get information support on this. Because been trying to contact some hpe provider, but all i got is only stock availability info.
Best reagard

Re: HPE DL360 Gen10 - NVMe upgrades
Hi @ZhugeHPE ,
As per the HPE document , MR416i-a plus controllers ( P26279-B21 and P06367-B21) are supported on Server DL360 Gen10 (not plus). But SAS/SATA drive support only. NVMe drives not supported.

Re: Query: HPE DL360 Gen10 - NVMe upgrades
Can someone please explain "SAS/SATA drive support only. NVMe drives not supported"? Why are NVMe drives not supported? The MR416i-p controller supports NVMe. Not supported because the drives will not show up in iLO? Who cares if the drives don't show up in iLO. What is the issue?
