HPE DL380p Gen 8 -- iLO default password

I obtained a DL380p Gen8 a month ago.  Someone along the life of the server removed the iLO default password sticker.  I'm trying to find a way to get access to what the iLO is using for the DEFAULT password.  I know there has to be a way to get this information.  I know that someone will suggest to go into the iLO configuration and change this to a known value.  I have all the default passwords except this one server.  Please throw out any idea to get this information.  I wish I had a service contract on the unit, but it is in my home network.  I was forced into medical retirement in Aug 2022.  Being retired, I live on a limited income.  Thank You for your help.

Hello,

Even if you had a service contract it would not help with getting a default password. If the toe tag / pull tab with the default password is missing, then the only option is to set a new password on the Administrator account. The HPE support organization does not have any database with all of the iLO default passwords.

Depending on the operating system, there are OS based tools (hponcfg and iLO restful tool) that would allow you to connect locally from within the host OS and set the password on the iLO. Obviously, you can set this during POST by accessing the iLO configuration utility. You can also turn switch 1 to the ON position, which will override the iLO security and allow you to log into the iLO without a password.
