HPE DL580 Gen 8 Raid Controller
Hi everyone,
I have some issue with Smart Array Controller on DL 580 Gen 8.
Can anyone confirm for me dl580 Gen 8's P830i array controller is onboard, and i have to replace the whole system board (P/N: 735511-001) to replace this controller?
Btw, I have try to replace array controller to handle error 1798: Cache Module Self-Test Error Occurred - Caching is disabled. I try to upgrade firmware, replace cache module, replace Capacitor Pack (battery of cache module), even change the SPI board (because I see the cache module attached here). But the Cache Module still error. Will replacing the array controller (replacing the mainboard because of the onboard controller) can solve my problem?
Hope someone can answer my problem. Thanks

Re: HPE DL580 Gen 8 Raid Controller
Greetings!
For HPE DL580 Gen8 Raid Controller, the storage controller is on the SPI board.
For the mentioned error, the suspected part is the cache module.

Please ensure if you have replaced the correct part and also that the replaced parts are good known.
