HPE Ethernet 10/25Gb Adapter and Cisco SFP28 Active Optical Cables - Interoperability

I would like to try to otpimize the cost of server-switch networking, as SFP28 trancivers are quite expensive. Active optical cabling seems as quite effective solution, but I can't find any article or document to confirm interoperatibility. Does anybody have experience with HPE Ethernet 10/25Gb adapters and Cisco active optical cables? I don't exepct any technical issue, but formally speaking there is no document where interoperability is confirmed officially.

I'm considering HPE Eth 10/25Gb 2P 640FLR-SFP28 Adptr (817749-B21) and Cisco SFP-25G-AOC (active optical cable).

Thanks, Bojan
