HPE InfoSight for AHS Log viewing

Hello,

I want to register our HPE DL380 Gen 10 Server, but did not find the Option on the welcome page of InfoSight! There are Options for Alletra, Privera, StoreServer, StoreOnce, Nimble and SimpliVity, but not a normal Server Option!?

Greetings Benno

Re: HPE InfoSight for AHS Log viewing

Hi,

HPE InfoSight for Servers (specifically for ProLiant, Apollo, Synergy) is not registered via the InfoSight UI directly. It requires HPE iLO Amplifier Pack or HPE OneView to collect telemetry and forward it to InfoSight.

Re: HPE InfoSight for AHS Log viewing

InfoSight for Server was retired at the end of last Year and is going forward with COM.

The Server AHS Log is now also located in COM.

Thanks for your reply!

Is there any other option for AHS Viewing (manual upload, cloud portal)?

Greetings

Re: HPE InfoSight for AHS Log viewing

COM is the Cloud Portal and today the only option.
You can create your Workspace for free, add the "Compute Ops Management Service," and inside COM upload the Log for analysis.

I'll try that, thanks!

I was able to add the Server, but need firewall or proxy exceptions or for the Server to communicate to Compute Ops Management.

Re: HPE InfoSight for AHS Log viewing

You don‘t Need.
Export the AHS File from iLO.
Then Upload the File in COM AHS Viewer.

I don't find that Option, it seems that it is neccessary to get a subscription for greenlake, or an demo key, right?

Re: HPE InfoSight for AHS Log viewing

I tried it without any license or subscription, and it works for me.

Create a Workspace > View Catalog > Compute Ops Management > Provision > Launch > Manage > Active health system log analyzer > Upload a AHS log file to analyze

Without any "Service Subscriptions".

Where did you get stuck?

Can you add a Screenshot (use the Camera Symbol above)?

Re: HPE InfoSight for AHS Log viewing

I made it!

Unfortunately there was no graphical Interface with meaningful insights, only a download option for an csv file and not more Information as in iLO.

Re: HPE InfoSight for AHS Log viewing

I Agree

The previous AHS Log Viewer was light years better; hopefully, it's coming back.

For example, you could see the temperature curve, which helped several times to recognize that there were problems with the cooling.
