Hello!
I have an ML30 GEN9 server and a Smart Array p440.
I bought the P440 but without the cables.
I would like to know which cables I need to purchase to put 4 sata disks?
Remembering that the ML30 is in the basic configuration it was when I bought it.
It only has a sata HD plugged directly into the motherboard.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Re: HPE ML30 GEN9 + SMART CARD P440
Hello,
Thanks for the answer.
My server does not have a backplane.
It will be a direct connection from the p440 controller to the sata drives.
Hence my doubt as to which cable is appropriate for this scenario.

SolutionHello,
Please refer to section "Additional Options > HPE Smart Host Bus Adapters" on page 21 of the HPE ProLiant ML30 Gen9 Server's QuickSpecs and see if it helps.

Re: HPE ML30 GEN9 + SMART CARD P440
Thank you very much!
I understand that in order to use the p440 smart card I will need
a Four (4) LFF or Eight (8) SAS/SATA HDD cage kit.
But since I don't have an alternative, it would be to use the h240.
Thank you for the responses.
