Re: HPE PROLIANT MICROSERVER GEN10 X3421 processor upgrade
Hello,
thank you for your reply.
Referring to page 3, the most powerful processor that can be installed on an HPE PROLIANT MICROSERVER GEN10 is the X3421.
So I already have the most powerful processor
My question: is it possible to replace this processor or is it soldered to the motherboard?
If it is not possible to replace it, is there a way to activate TURBO mode to reach 3.4 Ghz?

SolutionHello,
There appears to be no direct option to increase/decrease the clock speed of the processor. You may refer to pages 62 to 65, section "Changing Processor Options" of the UEFI System Utilities User Guide for HPE ProLiant Gen10, ProLiant Gen10 Plus Servers, and HPE Synergy for possible that may be of help to you.
The processor is not spared separately, but is attached to the system board. You may refer to the picture of the system board for part number 874738-001.
Regards,
