HPE ProLiant Server Black Screen Issue at Boot - Need Help!"
Hi everyone,
Iam facing a black screen issue on my HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 server. When I power it on, the system doesn't proceed past the boot stage, and no error messages appear.
- Checked and reseated all hardware components, including RAM and CPU.
- Verified power supply and performed a hard reset.
- Cleared the CMOS to reset BIOS settings.
- Updated the firmware to the latest version available.
Unfortunately, the issue persists, and Iam unable to access the BIOS/UEFI or any recovery options. Could this be related to hardware compatibility, firmware, or something else?
If anyone has encountered a similar issue or knows a solution, your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Re: HPE ProLiant Server Black Screen Issue at Boot - Need Help!"
Hello,
You may try clearing the server's NVRAM. To do so, you may perform the following steps:
a. Power off the server and remove the power cables from the power supplies.
b. Remove the access panel.
c. Locate the system maintenance switch on the system board. For this, you may review the sticker on the inside of the access panel. Also you may refer to item 2 of the "System board components" diagram of the HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Server User Guide.
d. Once located, set the system maintenance switch position 6 from default "Off" to "On".
e. Replace the access panel, connect the power cables to the power supplies and power on the server.
f. When a message indicates that the system maintenance switch is powered on and needs to be turned off, then power off the server.
g. Remove the power cables from the power supplies, remove the access panel, reverse the system maintenance switch position 6 from "On" to "Off".
h. Replace the access panel, connect the power cables to the power supplies and power on the server.
Regards,
