HVM Wink2k3 guest on BL380c
I am hitting a frustrating problem with network adapter emulation on Red Hat Enterprise 5.3 Xen Windows 2003 guest (by default Realtek 8139 and nothing else is possiblem putting model=whatever in vif=... doesn't change a thing - and this one is not supported). I have tried to recompile Xen from src.rpm and from xensource - nothing ever worked. I am not even sure is it about Xen or Xen vfirmware or something else - has anyone got anything on this one ?

Re: HVM Wink2k3 guest on BL380c
You need the Windows Paravirt Drivers for Xen. RHEL provides their own, and there is also an opensource effort as well.

Re: HVM Wink2k3 guest on BL380c
I will try with these once again, but I think these PV drivers are not supported on IA64 ... maybe I could try to recompile something for IA64, but I have never done something like that.

Re: HVM Wink2k3 guest on BL380c
TWIMC: the solution was very simple - DomU has to be started with 'xm create' and not with virsh or virt-manager, then model parameter works ! I would give myself some points here if possible, but anyway I didn't find the solution completely by myself ...
