IDE Problem on a DL-Server (errors)

Hello,
on a remote server there seems to be a problem with an inserted DVD/CD.
/dev/hda wrote error into logfile and in the HP-SIM the IDE is "red".

We don't need the drive, is it possible to disabe the IDE (completly)?
In the BIOS (ROM based Setup Utility, Version 2.10) I can't find an option for IDE.

Result should: No error messages in message-file and no IDE or an green IDE in HP-Sim.

Forgett: It' a DL385 G2, and no one is in the location :-(
