iLo License for replacement motherboard

Hi

I have replaced a dead motherboard on a DL380 G3 and need to register the old iLo's license code against the new motherboard. I do not have a paper record for it, is there some way of getting the license code for the iLo from the HP website using the serial number of the HP server??

Hi,

you can call the support and tell them that you replaced your system board and forgot to register the licence for the new one.If the server is in warranty they should generate a new advanced ilo license for you.If you are lucky they will do it without warranty too :)

I don't think hp support (Website/voice) can provide the ilo's licencse code on behalf of server's serial no.

Hi,

I think you may achieve that only sending the invoice. So after sysboard replacement you can always request an iLO Advance License.
