ilorest disk model numbers are blank
When running ilorest to try to determing a disk model number, the Model= paremeter is always null. Why isn't ilorest able to get the disk model number.
I'm on a DL380 Gen10 running RHEL 8.2

Re: ilorest disk model numbers are blank
@Suman_1978 That option does not work for me:
[root@r15 ~]# ilorest storagecontroller
Command 'storagecontroller' not found. Use the help command to see a list of available commands
My problem is that for some of the DL380s in our lab, the Model= field is populated, for example:
[root@r15 ~]# ilorest select HPESmartStorageDiskDrive
iLOrest : RESTful Interface Tool version 3.0.1

[root@r15 ~]# ilorest list | grep Model
Model=MO000400JWTBQ
Model=MO000400JWTBQ
Model=MO000400JWTBQ
Model=MO000400JWTBQ
Model=MO000400JWTBQ
Model=MO000400JWTBQ
But for other DL380s the Model= field is not populated. Why???
root@ccd2h0-VMHOST0> ilorest storagecontroller
Command 'storagecontroller' not found. Use the help command to see a list of available commands
root@ccd2h0-VMHOST0> ilorest select HPESmartStorageDiskDrive
iLOrest : RESTful Interface Tool version 3.5.1.0

Re: ilorest disk model numbers are blank
Hi,
The only difference I see in both the outputs is RESTful Interface Tool version and VMHOST0
I would suggest you to check if the servers are having same firmware levels for Storage controller, hard disks.
I am not sure if this command is able to get Hardware information through the VM host.
Thank You!
