Incompatible HDD ML350 Gen9 ? - Temperature Sensor 1, Location Storage, Box 6, Port 2I, Slot 0

Hallo,
(CAUTION) Internal Storage Enclosure Overheating (Temperature Sensor 1, Location Storage, Box 6, Port 2I, Slot 0) auftreten.

Hello,
I got a ProLiant ML350 Gen9 (Windows Server 2012 R2) here and just stumbled across compatible/supported Harddisks :
The server has the following setup :
Also the Management Homepage shows some "SCIS Bus Faults" (since 2015)
3x MM1000GBKAL
15x EG0300FCVBF
12 x EG0300FCSPH
Things to check :
-the gigantic logfile, for errors on day 1
Id appreciate any kind of additional informations.

Hi,
Are the spare numbers of your hard drives the same as the ones below?
MM1000GBKAL Spare No:656108-001 1TB 6G SATA 7200 RPM SFF (2.5-inch) SC Midline (MDL) Hot-plug Hard Drive
EG0300FCSPH Spare No:653955-001 300GB 6G SAS 10K 2.5in DP ENT SC HDD
EG0300FCVBF Spare No:653955-001 300GB 6G SAS 10K 2.5in DP ENT SC HDD
Can you upload the adu report?

Its exactly the models you mentioned.
I have no idea of the spare numbers, as these arent enlisted in the invoice.
The ADU report Im looking into asap. For now I can only provide a AHS report. But that should be HP internal only. (?)

Re: Incompatible HDD ML350 Gen9 ? - Temperature Sensor 1, Location Storage, Box 6, Port 2I, Slot 0
There should be a sticker on the drives that lists the spares part number. The model numbers you say are listed on the invoice are not the actualy HPE part numbers. HPE part numbers (and spares numbers) are in the form of 123456-xxx
From the link you posted the drive pictured shows
HP Option Part #: 507127-B21
HP Spare Part #: 507284-001
The drive pictured is in a G7 drive carrier and will not fit in a Gen8 or Gen9 server. The drive model with -sc in the model number just denoted Smart Carrier, which is what the drive carriers have been called since Gen8

Re: Incompatible HDD ML350 Gen9 ? - Temperature Sensor 1, Location Storage, Box 6, Port 2I, Slot 0
As Im not on location a lot, I cannot look on the harddrives labels.
Taken from the HP Insight Diagnostics report (addd Firmware and RPM myself)
These model numbers are the most accurate info I can offer right now.
The server uses the SmartCarrier on every HDD. So the FCSPH should be the SC version...
300.0 GB, 10k RPM, SAS, HP EG0300FCSPH - Firmware HPD0
300.0 GB, 10k RPM, SAS, HP EG0300FCSPH - Firmware HPD0
300.0 GB, 11k RPM, SAS, HP EG0300FCVBF (11k RPM instead of 10k RPM) - Firmware HPD5 (HPD9 available)
300.0 GB, 11k RPM, SAS, HP EG0300FCVBF (11k RPM instead of 10k RPM) - Firmware HPD5 (HPD9 available)
1.0 TB, 7k RPM, SATA, ATA MM1000GBKAL - Firmware HPGC (no update available/required)
1.0 TB, 7k RPM, SATA, ATA MM1000GBKAL - Firmware HPGC (no update available/required)
Shouldnt this be enough information to calrify if the HP EG0300FCSPH alone is compatible when running inside a SmartCarrier / inside of this server ?
And for the "overheating problem", its one of the 1.0 TB, 7k RPM, SATA, ATA MM1000GBKAL. Not one of the 300gb ones.
As its 3 year warranty, next busines day, I think should contact HP directly, if no other options/solutions are available.
