Install Ubuntu server in HP Proliant G20 Gen9 use Smart Array B140i
Hello !!
Tell me please, how install Ubuntu server OS and configure RAID 1 use internal Smart Array B140i in this server?
I`m try, but when install system installer not see logical volum which I configured in the internal utility , see two hard drive.

You have to set the contoller to AHCI mode as there is not a RAID driver available for this controller for Ubuntu. You can look at using HPE Linux Software Raid Redundant Boot method https://downloads.linux.hpe.com/SDR/project/lsrrb/ This allows you to use Linux RAID but have both drives able to boot the OS in the event of a primary drive failure

the link you sent me, does not open. if I understand correctly, raid 1 make software using mdm utility?
