Install XP on ML310 G4 with E200 SAS Card

Hi everyone,

I want to re-purpose a ML310 G4 to use as a new VoIP PBX running 3CX. 3CX runs great on XP so I don't want to spend the extra $$$ to by a server OS. The ML310 currently has a E200 SAS controller and a couple of 36GB SAS drives. XP won't install - it hangs while inspecting system configuration. If I pull the E200 card it seems to continue on just fine.

So my question is do I need to pull the E200 and switch over to SATA drives and use the on-board controller or is there a way for XP to get past the E200 card?

Hi,

ML 310 is not support with windows XP , check below link for OS support matrix. However you can check this issue by using on board controller ,
