Installing a second SCSI drive
I just received a new ML350 with one 9.1 GB SCSI drive and want to add another, which came with the order but not installed. I opened the server, cabled to the power and SCSI leads on the second drive, but the setup will not recognize it. In fact, while it's installed, the setup won't recognize the first SCSI either.
Do I need to jumper the second drive? What's the process for installing a second drive. I've looked in the documentation and can't find directions.
TIA

Re: Installing a second SCSI drive
You need to make sure it's NOT on SCSI ID 0 (which would be it's default setting). In some cases, there is a chart on the drive that gives that information. Otherwise, I have to have the actual model number of the drive.
