installing IDE RAID for DL140

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had installed an IDE Raid card in the proliant dl140 as I purchased an adaptec PCI IDE raid card but it does not work in the server as in the server fails to boot.

Hi Trevor

From the beginning DL140 planned to be low-end server
Opposite to DL140 G2, G1 it has limited capabilities
With G2 you can use ML100 SCSI RAID Controller and some others SCSI cards
You can try: update to the latest BIOS
Verify if you can disable in the BIOS unused devices to release some resources
What RAID card you Purchased?

The RAID card I tried in the DL140 is the Adaptec 1200A IDE PCI card.
