Installing linux RH7.2 on ML150 RAID
We are trying to install RH7.2 on a new ML150 server XEOM 2,8 G with Raid capabilities.
We formatted and created a Raid 5 array with 3 36GB disks. they are OK.
We got from adaptec the floppy driver for
RH7.2 here:
http://www.adaptec-fr.com/worldwide/support/driverdetail.jsp?sess=no&language=English+US&cat=/Product/ASR-2120S&filekey=aacraid.i686.img
and created the floppy.
When running install process (linux dd noprobe updates) just after inserting the driver floppy , the installation exits with signal 11 caught.
We changed floppy : same thing. We used anaconda update floppy (linux dd noprobe updates) : same thing. If we use another driver floppy (such as one for RHES 3) the error does not occur , but of course disk is not found..
Have looked in RH site an HP but did not find usefull information.
Thanks for any help
