Installing SBS 2011 on HP DL165

Run into a problem trying to install SBS 2011 onto this server. The original disk has no support for an installation of SBS 2011, Smartstart 8.70 which does include support for SBS 2011 reports an "Unsupported system"

 

Just trying to install SBS 2011 manually we get to the stage where it tries to connect to network which fails as there are no network drivers installed and the installation stops as there is no option to load drivers. Tried to load drivers at the disk configuration stage using Win2008 x64 drivers but that didn't work.

 

HP have closed a call on us saying that at this time we cannot install SBS2011 onto the HP DL165 yet the Support matrix clearly states that it is supported.

 

Anyone else having problems installing SBS2011

Hi

 

I am having the same problem with a DL370 G6, the NC375i drivers won't install either using smartstart or installing the OS and then the PSP.

 

I've downloaded the NIC drivers from Windows 2008 R2, extracted them and manually installed from Device Manager, but no go "OS not supported" or Yellow exclamation bangs in Device Mage.

 

Were you able to get it installed?
