Installing Windows 7 X64 on Proliant ML110 G3
I'm wondering if someone can provided some assistance in installing Windows 7 x64 .
I have upgraded the PSU to a Corsair TX750M PSU.
When booting off the Windows 7 x64 DVD it gets past the loading windows files screen but gets stuck at the "Stating Windows Logo Screen"
I have tried it with different DVD's (tried x86 as well) and HD's and everytime it gets stuck at the "Stating Windows Logo Screen"
I have checked for a BIOS update (using the most current) and reviewed the BIOS and can't see anything that stands out
From viewing the forums I can see that it has been done, just wondering if someone point out what I'm missing.
I know it's old but it's the only Proliant M110 so far with a PCI-Express x16 slot
Thank you

Re: Installing Windows 7 X64 on Proliant ML110 G3
Hi,
I guess ML110 G3 is not a 64bit compatible processor and chipset.
Try with a 32bit Win7 if you have.
But again, these servers are not tested for Windows 7 or 8 or Server 2012.
Thank You!
