Integrated Ultra ATA-100 IDE RAID DL320 G2 Large HDD Support
Hi.
Wondered if anyone was aware whether there was any progress on a new Options Rom for the DL320 G2 and ML320 G2 with the Integrated Raid IDE controllers to allow +120Gig drive support.
I've seen the new Rompaq for the equivalent ML330 G3 but it seems unfair as nothing appears to have been done for the G2 series even though they were on sale during +120Gig drive times.
I've also investigated LSI directly, Dell (who seem to also use them), Broadcom(Serverworks) and Gigabyte to see if anyone else had released a flash for the chipset and even tried prising apart the flash for the ML330 G3. Unfortunately as far as I can establish, the Raid controller firmware is integrated with the system Rompaq hence you cannot flash it separately. This seems odd given that it reports like an add-in card at startup, much like an Ilo or Smart 5300 would.
Any help / advice much appreciated and thanks in advance for you time.

Re: Integrated Ultra ATA-100 IDE RAID DL320 G2 Large HDD Support
I suspect this support will not be coming. HP generally will only provide firmware upgrades on older, retired servers to fix problems, but not to add new features (and this would likely be considered a feature upgrade).
The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..
