Re: Intelligent Provisioning not working after firmware update

Hi @Ls_Fanai

Ensure the USB key utility you downloaded and Intelligent Provisioning version 3.90 are compatible with your server model and firmware. If the firmware version installed on your server is newer, it might require a specific version of Intelligent Provisioning.

Check the HPE Support Center for the latest compatible firmware and Intelligent Provisioning versions for your MicroServer Gen10+.

Sometimes, firmware updates can affect system settings. Perform a reset of the System Utilities settings:

  1. Access the System Utilities menu during boot.
  2. Navigate to System Configuration > Restore Default Settings.
  3. Confirm the reset and reboot the server.
  4. Try launching Intelligent Provisioning again.

If Intelligent Provisioning is corrupted, reinstall it manually:

  1. Download the appropriate Intelligent Provisioning recovery media (ISO file) from the HPE website.
  2. Create a bootable USB or DVD with the ISO file.
  3. Boot your server from the media and reinstall Intelligent Provisioning.

Re: Intelligent Provisioning not working after firmware update

Hi,
Shutdown the server and perform a power drain
Then, restore BIOS to the default manufacturing settings

Download the Intelligent Provisioning Recovery Media for Gen10 and Gen10 Plus from following link
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/swd/detail?swCollectionId=MTX-6971bdef1d494491#tab-history

Burn the ISO to a USB key and boot your server from it. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software onto your system. Once the installation is complete, reboot the server and press F10 during POST to boot into Intelligent Provisioning.

Alternatively, you can mount the ISO image via iLO virtual media. During boot, press F11 and select iLO Virtual Media as the boot device. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
