Intelligent Provisioning stuck on GRUB prompt DL320e Gen8 v2
Hello guys! I was about to reset Windows server 2012 local administrator password. And in order for me to do that, I believe I will have to boot from windows 2012 install disk using "Intelligent Provisioning". But when I press F10 Intelligent Provissiong I'm only seeing a black sreen with GRUB prompt.
I do remember upgrading to 1.63 when I install Windows 2012. I already tried recovering from 1.63, 1.64B and even 1.61 version with no luck. I'm still stuck with GRUB prompt.
When I go to iLO System Information - Firmware Information, Intelligent Provissioning Firmware version is N/A. also on iLO Selt-Test Result showing: Controller firmware revision 2.10.00 Embedded media manager failed initialization.
Product Name: ProLiant DL320e Gen8 v2
Thanks in advance!!

Re: Intelligent Provisioning stuck on GRUB prompt DL320e Gen8 v2
I'm done resetting my Windows 2012 password using Linux livecd.
I followed this link:
http://h20564.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c04996097
But still no glory on fixing Intelligent Provisioning.
All I get now is a blank screen and OS will continue to boot when I press F10.

Re: Intelligent Provisioning stuck on GRUB prompt DL320e Gen8 v2
Hi Thanks!
I did that many times, then tried to recover from 1.61, 1.63 and 1.64.
But nothing happens. Same diagnostic error appears on iLO:
Embedded Flash/SD-CARD: Controller firmware revision 2.10.00 Embedded media manager failed initialization

Read the whole advisory, the fix requires more than just updating the firmware., the iLO NAND flash needs to be formatted. The advisory explains how to do this.

Re: Intelligent Provisioning stuck on GRUB prompt DL320e Gen8 v2
Hi Sir,
Here's what I did:
1. Update iLO Firmware from 2.42 to 2.53
2. Execute the Force_Format RIBCL XML script (Force_Format.xml) to format the NAND device. See Diagnostic screenshot status from iLO after NAND flash "2017-06-01.png".
Log file:
Server IP is : 10.2.207.246:443
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<RIBCL VERSION="2.23">
<RESPONSE
STATUS="0x0000"

/>
</RIBCL>
Script succeeded for IP:10.2.207.246:443
3. Shutdown the server and remove power plug.
4. Run the Intelligent Provisioning Restore Media to restore the Intelligent Provisioning data.
- from here I already tried 1.61 and 1.63 but after that I'm getting the same error.
Please advise which IP version to boot?
Thanks!
