Re: is it possible to install xp 64 on a DL360 G3?
The DL360G3 predates Intel's introduction of EM64T. The first DL360 to feature this is generation 4.
Windows XP, as a desktop operating system, is not one of the operating systems that the ProLiant servers are certified with. Servers generally are not very good desktop replacements because they lack standard features that most productivity users require like sound and high-performance 3D accelerated graphics.
On the other hand, if you are using Windows XP as a method of avoiding the cost of using a server operating system, that is most likely in violation of the EULA.
