issues installing RH AS 4 U 5 on Proliant 8000

I had issue installing RH AS 4 U 5 on Proliant 8000. The CD boots fine , after hitting enter to start the installation process, two pages of initialization text shows up , then the screen blanks and nothing happens.

I got linux 3 CDs, I was able to fully install RH ES 3.0 , then I tried to upgrade it to RH 4 ES U 5 and still gets the blank screen..

Any Ideas

Based on experience, I would say you have a firmware compatibility issue with the new release, or perhaps a release bug.

You might wish to try RH 4 U4, but would be advised to check and update the firmware to the latest supported version before proceeding.

I have 8G of memory installed on the box..
The box currently has RHEL 3.0 ..
I have tried Linux text and still hangs on the second screen.. Some HW component hung the box.
