Joining Domain
I have re-installing the OS onto the above server. It is installed with 5 drives configured RAID5 with 3 logical partitions. In re-installing the OS on the first partition it auto detects the Compaq NetFlex-3 controller. I select it and proceed with the guided install procedure. I am trying to configure it as a Domain Controller, when the machine tries to join the domain, I get a error message "No domain Controller Found". I then started over and selected Member server. Once again it would not join the Domain. I selected join work group and server re booted. Once It re booted I was able to update the NIC drivers to the Integrated Netelligent 10/100 PCI Bus 1. and the server immediately joins the domain. The issue is I want it to be a domain controller, I want to retain the information loaded on the logical partitions (Don't want to reconfigure raid). How is it then am I able to load the proper drivers initially. REMARK: I am using the NT start up disk and NT OS CD when installing the OS.

Re: Joining Domain
You need to use the F6 key during the install process and load the required drivers from the Compaq NT 4.0 SSD. Download and make the SSD floppy disks from this web address.
http://www5.compaq.com/support/files/server/us/download/9192.html
See the readme files on the disks for installation instructions.
