Re: Keyboard and mouse is not working when install windows 7 x86

Lets get this this out of the way, Windows 7 is not supported on that system. That being said, there really isn't a reason why it shouldn't work.  I don't have one of those systems in my lab, but I have loaded Windows 7 on Microserver Gen8.  The only caveat on the Microserver is the USB 3.0 ports are not active until the proper OS driver is loaded so one must use the 2.0 ports during initial setup and configuration.  The NIC requires a driver as Windows 7 doesn't see it.  Using the drivers for Server 2008 makes everything work.

You may be experiencing the same USB 3.0 issue on the ML10

Sheeze HPE! How about offering a deployment wim file or windows 7 iso. Windows 7 professional is still an OS that is used in businesses. I assume one needs to fix the usb drivers but there may be others unique to HPE that could be added.

Otherwise, can the interior USB 2 connection work?

Re: Keyboard and mouse is not working when install windows 7 x86

Hello!

I had this problem when installing my HP Proliant ML30 Gen 9 server.

I was able to solve this:
- I configured the ILO and I used the remote access
- I performed the entire Windows installation remotely.
- Even after fully installed Windows the problem persists.
- I downloaded the network card driver (BCM5720) for Windows 7, burned it to a CD, installed the driver and then downloaded the Driverpack (http://drp.su) that installed the other drivers, after restarting all usb devices worked.
