looking for exact specs

I'm trying to install Debian 2.2r2 on my new DL380, but the kernel on the Debian install floppy doesn't support all of the hardware. I'm building a new custom kernel to replace the stock one on the Debian boot floppy, but I'm still having trouble figuring out exactly which drivers to include. On boot, the system recognizes the RAID array, but once the installer starts it says that no hard disk was found.

I've looked all around to try to determine exactly which SCSI driver to include, but haven't yet found the definitive word. To this point I've tried AIC7xxx and SYM53C8xx.

Any ideas?

Re: looking for exact specs

I, too, am needing help with loading drivers.

I am running RedHat Linux 7.0, and need to install in expert mode in order to make changes to the kernel during install. The auto-probe (which probes the Compaq just fine) is unavailable in expert mode, so I need to load each driver manually, but cannot find documentation to help.

Any suggestions, link, or other help would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Jacob Killian
