Loss Raid configuration after Event ID ( 11 ) in Source ( HpCISSs2 ) ...
Hi,
We have 2 Dl380G5 with the same error. The server loss the RAID configuration, & i can't find the E200 controler in the ACU. When i restart the server, the raid config is back. The system is a Win2003 sp2 R2 with the psp790. The E200 drv is the 6.8.0.32, and normal, with this drivers the problem is soled. I have read on many posts he say that the KB932755 need to be installed to resolved the problem. BUT, on the hp site, i can read this:
...
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/revision/9010.html
Until the corrected versions of HPCISSS.SYS or HPCISSS2.SYS can be installed, the blue screen event can be avoided by removing the KB932755 update to the Storport Driver using Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs as shown in Figure 1 below....
This article was published the 2007-06-05
And the KB932755 is out the 5 november.
What may i do ? Update or not ?
Thanks,
Joël

Re: Loss Raid configuration after Event ID ( 11 ) in Source ( HpCISSs2 ) ...
Hello Joel,
Your Question has its answer.
You are referring to this advisory:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?locale=en_US&objectID=c01068337
Which was last updated on the 5th of JUNE,2007.
The link you provided:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/revision/9010.html
has the LATEST Driver version released on 25th JULY 2007;
Which reads:
Updated the driver to properly handle shutdown events. On certain HP ProLiant servers configured with an HP Smart Array SAS/SATA controller (Driver version 6.6.0.x or earlier) as the boot controller, the system may blue screen or become unresponsive during shutdown after upgrading to Windows 2003 SP2 or applying Storport QFE (KB932755). Corrected a driver issue that resulted in an unexpected system termination after installing the ProLiant Support Pack 7.80. Stop code can be one of the following: 0xD1, 0x50, 0x24
Hence, PLEASE update the driver to fix the issue.
;) Regards.
