Lost Network Connection Using Teaming
We are having network problems with all our Windows 2000 Systems that are using a teamed network adapter. The network link goes down regularly. When we remove the teaming configuration, this problem disappears.

Re: Lost Network Connection Using Teaming
I am having that problem also, the only clue I have is an error at boot time.
"Could not initialize communication profile:TCP/IP.
Wrong IP Address. Winsock returned error code 10093."
I have seen this on 2 separate installs and it pops up right after I change the IP address. I am wondering what needs to be changed to make everything work again.

Re: Lost Network Connection Using Teaming
What is the exact model and Compaq spare part number for the network controllers that are being used in the system? Are you using an integrated network controller and one that is plugged into a slot? Are both network controllers the same brand and type? Please provide more information about your exact network controller configuration and the drivers that are being used.
For network teaming to work, both network cards should to be using the same controller chip set. The two network controller drivers that are installed into the OS must support teaming. If the OS driver that is being used does not support teaming or is not configured correctly, you can get the messages you have indicated in your posting.

Re: Lost Network Connection Using Teaming
how are you configuring the ports - as load balancing or fail over? - if using as load balancing - you must have them connected to a switch and not a hub.
