LSI config utility gone - hard drives not being read - DL160 G5
I am getting really tired of these 160 g5's...
A whole bunch of them now work, but only 1 doesn't seem to care about working properly.
The LSI 1068e (HP rebrands them) was flashed to the newest firmware. Of the 4 servers, 3 work fine, this one... doesn't even show me the :
"Press F8 to access LSI config utility"
Nor do the drives show up in POST.
I've tried resetting/switching drives.
Anyone have any idea of what to do next?

Re: LSI config utility gone - hard drives not being read - DL160 G5
easy
since you have other 3 working just fine
get the card from another working server and test it in the not working fine

Go into the BIOS settings and enable the SATA Raid function. Without the raid function enabled in the BIOS the F8 prompt will not appear
Or maybe the firmware update was corrupted and the card is no longer functional

Re: LSI config utility gone - hard drives not being read - DL160 G5
No luck. I tried setting them to PATA, SATA, Compatible / Enhanced.. with raid/achi (recent firmware in bios allows this now).
Still no luck. The card's leds appear to be fine. The 2 links go green, the 6 inactive ones remain orange, the hard drives spin up on boot, but then die down.
Maybe the firmware really did kill it?
