mAINTANCE JUMPER NOT SET

I have a system that will not hold its configuration, if you turn it off when you restart it says that the system is not configured or that NVram is invalid and I have correctible errors. When I run the config util (2001 verson) it tells me the maintance jumper needs to be set to write changes. But I can not find this jumper on the motherboard. I've found the configuation lock which is off and have replaced the external CMOS battery. I have been trying to get this thing to work for a week.
