Memory compatibility between servers
I am upgrading the memory in our DL380 G7's.
Current memory is: 500662-B21 - HP 8GB (1x8GB) Dual Rank x4 PC-310600 (DDR3-1333) Registered CAS-9 Memory Kit
Can I then use the old 500662-B21 memory in our DL380p G8 servers? WIll it be compatable with the memory that is already install there?
Current memory installed there in the DL380p G8's is: 647897-S21 - 8GB (1x8GB) Dual Rank x4 PC3L-10600R (DDR3-1333) Registered CAS-9 Low Voltage Memory Kit SmarBuy
The only difference I see is PC vs PC3L.

Re: Memory compatibility between servers
Hi,
Will previous G6/G7 DDR3 memory work in my HP ProLiant server?
HP DIMMs from previous generations have not been qualified on ProLiant Gen8 servers. Certain HP SmartMemory features such as memory authentication and enhanced memory performance will not be supported.
