Memory Error...
Our dual processor Proliant 800 has 1GB of RAM in the form of 4x256MB Compaq 306432-001 chips. We are getting an error from Insight Manager that reports...
System Information Insight Agent: Compaq Health: Correctable memory error detected. The memory module should be replaced. Value: 1 != Threshold: 0
It will report this even if I run on 1 DIMM, and any one of the 4 DIMMS. I having trouble believing I had 4 DIMM chips go bad at once. Any ideas???
Thanks
Dan

Re: Memory Error...
If this is the old Pentium Pro version of the 800, it'll only recognize up to 512MB RAM (4x128) according the the QuickSpecs http://www.compaq.com/products/servers/ProLiant800/quickspecs.html.

Re: Memory Error...
Hi There...
Thanks for the suggestion. This is using the newer PII 550 chips. It's "supposed" to be able to support 1GB. Actually it ran fine for a while, then the error started to appear. I suspect perhaps the Insight Agent has gone weird, but it's not worth re-formating or whatever I would have to do to fix that.
Thanks!
